What is a Montessori Education?

Montessori education is a child-centered approach to learning that helps children develop independence, curiosity, and confidence.

Instead of relying primarily on lectures or worksheets, Montessori learning encourages children to:

  • explore hands-on materials
  • learn at their own pace
  • develop problem-solving skills
  • build concentration and independence

Research shows Montessori students often develop strong academic foundations along with creativity, focus, and self-direction.

These benefits make Montessori especially powerful during the Kindergarten through early elementary years.
